Kathy was brought up in California and has lived in Texas, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and New Zealand. She has a devoted husband, two children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. Most of her career was spent teaching in her privately owned pre-school/ kindergarten with phonics and art being a particular passion for her.
In 2000, she and her husband retired and with their daughter moved to New Zealand to begin an 8 year adventure. It was there that she began to appreciate texture and color.
